Emma is thrilled to be able to perform in a solo recital! She plans on attending NYU for Theater Education and has a passion for musical theater. She will sing some of her favorite pieces from various musicals!

Audition Techniques for the Developing Dancer with Lisa Kaemmerlen
January 14, 2018, 6:30-8:30p.m.
St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
During her many years of auditioning as a professional dancer, Miss Kaemmerlen has worked to perfect the strategies to stand out during the quick combinations given at professional auditions for musicals, cruise ships, and theme parks. In this mock dance audition, students will learn these techniques in addition to refining the artistry of stage presence.

A Masterclass with Dr. Holly Bewlay
January 7, 2018, 3-5p.m.
St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
Dr. Holly Bewlay has performed numerous solo engagements with opera companies, orchestras, universities, chamber ensembles, and arts organizations including the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus, Eastman Opera Theatre, Oberlin in Italy, Tulsa Gilbert and Sullivan Society, The Cheektowaga Symphony, The Amherst Symphony, Greece Symphony, Camerata di Sant’Antonio, and many others. She received her vocal training at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA where she received a BM. Bewlay then completed her MM and DMA at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. Presently she serves as an associate professor in Voice at SUNY Buffalo State. Dr. Holly Bewlay will work individually with select students from the Williamsville Performing Arts Studio in a masterclass.

Acting Workshop with Renee Landrigan
November 19, 2017, 1-3p.m.
Amherst Presbyterian Church
Students will workshop various scenes and monologues selected by Mrs. Landrigan, and are encouraged to bring their own material to perform and critique. The workshop itself will be followed by Q&A for students to learn more about the craft of acting and performing in the theater.

Auditioning Workshop with Kathy Dick
November 26, 2017, 1-3p.m.
Amherst Presbyterian Church
As a New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) judge, Mrs. Kathy Dick will guide workshop participants through the many facets of the audition process in the performing arts, examining how to choose the best song and prepare the performance in a mock audition format.

A Masterclass with Karen D’Angelo, lyric coloratura soprano
October 1, 2017, 12:30-2p.m.
Amherst Presbyterian Church
Miss Karen D’Angelo, a lyric coloratura soprano, will work individually with select students from the studio in a masterclass. The masterclass couples performance and critique, resulting in a unique learning experience for the students and an exciting show for the audience! Reception to follow until 3p.m.

A Masterclass with Kyle van Schoonhoven
July 26, 2017, 1:30-3:30p.m.
Amherst Presebyterian Church
Mr. Kyle van Schoonhoven, Adler Fellow at the San Francisco Opera and Metropolitan Opera National Council Grand Finals Winner, will present a masterclass for the voice students of the Williamsville Performing Arts Studio.
